Our classes are rooted in the integration of traditional teachings and philosophies with our modern-day lives, as we strive to impart time-honored practices that help you cultivate your own unique, authentic, and transformative journey of your mind, body, and soul.
We are committed to providing a welcoming community where individuals feel united and included. Welcoming practitioners of all levels, backgrounds, and body types from those who have never practiced before, to those who have been practicing for years. We invite you into our beautiful studio space in the restored Newmarket Mill building, located at
55 Main Street, Suite 414 in Newmarket, New Hampshire.
Whether you sign up in advance or drop-in our doors are open to you! Mats are always available for free to those who need to borrow one for practice.
Our yoga classes are centered around breath linked with intentional movement. We use the breath to drive the movement in the body & help you to connect mind, body, and soul through this mindful movement and connection. Choose one of our many formats and styles that aligns with your needs. We offer three levels of classes that can be noted in each of the classes description:
All Levels & Level 1: A beginner-friendly practice for both new & experienced practitioners. These classes with have a deeper focus on proper alignment & may include pauses or holds to help you drop into the body and link movement with breath. Modifications will be offered to meet the needs of all levels.
Level 2: This practice is perfect for those with previous exposure to yoga, although previous exposure is not necessary! Pose modifications may be offered & alignment cues with still be present but may vary in depth.
Level 3: This practice is for more experienced practitioners or those looking for a bit of a challenge. These classes may move at a bit of a faster pace, and include fewer alignment cues. Modifications may still be offered.
We offer a variety of class styles including Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Buti & Restorative.
Gentle Hatha Flow
Hatha yoga is a practice of moving into energetic balance amid the constant changes in our lives. “Ha” or ‘of the sun’ is more energizing, and “tha” or ‘of the moon’ is more relaxing. This class moves slowly & mindfully to cultivate a sustainable balance of energy, to help you feel awakened, calm, and clear. Bringing you deeper into awareness and a blissful state of being. Appropriate for all level practitioners, including those rehabbing injuries or with limited range of motion.
All Levels Vinyasa Flow
Vinyasa yoga moves through a series of poses linked seamlessly together through the conscious connection of the breath, mind & body into relation with one another. This class is appropriate for all level practitioners from beginner to advanced. Modifications and challenges will be offered to meet the needs of all levels.
Vinyasa Flow
Our Level 2 Vinyasa Yoga class, is a rejuvenation flow of a dynamic blend of movement, breath, and mindfulness designed to enhance strength, flexibility, and inner peace. This class weaves both challenge and comfort as you work to seamlessly synchronize breath with movement as you transition through a creative series of postures.
Gentle/Restorative
Embark on a blissful journey of relaxation and rejuvenation in our Level 1 Gentle and Restorative Yoga class, a harmonious fusion of soothing postures and mindful breathwork and meditation. With a focus on gentle and restorative postures, you’ll effortlessly release tension from the body and mind. This class invites you find solace in the present moment to promote deep relaxation and stress relief.
Restorative
A level 1 class Restorative yoga is the answer to the stress and high-speed pace of our modern world. In restorative, we use props to fully support the opening and release of the body in relaxing postures. A wonderful practice for those with injuries, limited range of motion, or to release muscle tension.
Energetic Flow
Move through an energetic vinyasa sequence woven together through the seamless connection of the inhale and exhale. Designed to move the body, ease the mind, and restore balance. This level 2-3 class is perfect for those who enjoy all levels with a bit of a challenge. Modifications will be offered.
Functional Flow
This all-levels class weaves functional movement exercises into a vinyasa flow to create more strength, integrity and understanding in your asana practice. We'll work with a monthly physical focus to fully integrate novel movements and skills into our exploration of more traditional yoga poses.
Vibe & Flow Buti Yoga
An empowering high intensity fusion of yoga, tribal dance and plyometrics. Each class combines cardio, strength training and yoga into a fluid format with fun upbeat music! This class is perfect for anyone looking to have fun, release stored tension, and get on a good sweat! This level 2-3 class may have limited modifications so be sure to communicate any injuries or mobility issues prior to start of class.
Yin
Yin Yoga targets the body’s deepest tissues, perfectly contrasting to our traditional yang practice of Vinyasa. Here we tap into deep healing. This practice targets connective tissues, offering a meditative journey into the body's depths. Through longer holds, guided by breath, we soften into discomfort, releasing tension and cultivating mindfulness. Suitable for all levels, Yin Yoga fosters resilience to stress and enhances inner calm.

Each of our registered yoga teachers have gone through certified training programs, specializing in a variety of different practices including Hatha, Vinyasa, Restorative, Yin & Buti. At Symmetry, we provide guidance for all levels of practice with an emphasis on proper alignment paired with intentional breath so you can decide what feels best for your body.
